This full gut renovation is set in the heart of the historic Rittenhouse neighborhood and re-imagines a classic single-family home with a thoughtful balance of preservation and modern living. We worked closely with the clients on a design that celebrates original architectural details—including a grand staircase, intricate fireplaces, and ornate lighting—while introducing contemporary upgrades that improve comfort, accessibility, and everyday functionality. The project required careful space planning and close attention to detail to balance the historic with the contemporary. The updated home features four spacious bedrooms, a fully renovated kitchen and dining area, a flexible finished basement, a modern media room that opens to a new roof deck, and an elevator providing easy access across multiple levels.
