We were honored to design a new home for Makom Community, a Jewish non-profit that brings together Jewish families and serves as a lab school, inspiring educators from around the country. This unique program offers after school enrichment as well as frequent opportunities for Jewish families to celebrate holidays and celebrations together.

We were approached to design a new space that could grow with Makom Community. Makom's new home includes five unique classrooms, a main gathering space for community celebrations, an upgraded kitchen, unisex bathrooms, and two offices for the growing staff.

 

Our design focused on creating a child-friendly environment that encouraged play and thoughtful learning. The use of curves and a color scheme inspired by the color wheel gives each room a unique design that connects beautifully. Walking into Makom is reminiscent of stepping into a rainbow.
